Shane Warne denies rumours of split from Elizabeth Hurley

Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne has hit back at reports that his engagement to model Elizabeth Hurley is over.

There were suggestions that the couple's romance could be coming to an end due to their lack of messages on social networking website Twitter.

However, Warne has dismissed the rumours as "rubbish", but has admitted that the pair are are dealing with "issues".

Warne wrote on Twitter: "Some of the reports re EH & me r absolute rubbish. Yes we're sorting through some (private) issues. But we're not throwing the towel in yet."

The couple announced their engagement in October 2011.
