Michael Vaughan has night out before Strictly appearance

Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan reportedly spent Friday night out drinking ahead of his appearance on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 37-year-old, who danced the jive with his professional partner Natalie Lowe, made a reference to judge Bruno Tonioli's description of Vaughan's bum being like 'hanging baskets' by tweeting that he was off to "water his hanging baskets".

The former batsman later posted a photo on the social network site of him dancing with a tree alongside a caption, which read: "Hanging basket bum mixing it with friends tonight."

Vaughan managed to survive the first public vote after Johnny Ball was sent packing from the BBC One show.
