A Ukrainian Premier League club have begun offering seafront properties to their players to cover salary debts.
FC Chernomorets Odessa general manager Sergey Kernitskiy has revealed that the club are in danger of being disqualified from UEFA competitions due to their desperate financial state.
"We are offering houses and real estate property near the sea to players to cover salary debts," the Daily Mail quotes Kernitskiy as saying. "Costs of those houses are around £67,000.
"We still have debts to top players who have already left the club, and in order to avoid disqualification from UEFA and relegation to lower league of Ukrainian football championship they have to be paid."
Reports have claimed that some of the players' wages have been slashed down from more than £7,000 a month to £2,000 per month.
