Beth Tweddle still overwhelmed by 'Dancing On Ice' success

Tweddle still "overwhelmed" by victory

Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle has admitted that she still feels "overwhelmed" following her success on reality ice skating TV show Dancing On Ice.

The 27-year-old and her partner Daniel Whiston were voted the winners of the contest by ITV viewers, beating Eastenders actor Matt Lapinskas, who was the favourite to be crowned champion.

"People kept saying to us, 'Oh the public must love you', but you can never take anything for granted," the Daily Mail quotes Tweddle as saying.

"I'm still kind of overwhelmed by it all. I've had the most amazing experience and Dan has helped a lot with that. I can't even talk about it. It's just been brilliant. I've loved every single minute."

Tweddle clinched a bronze medal at the London Olympic Games last summer.
