Trainer: 'Fury's wife suffered miscarriage'

Tyson Fury's trainer has revealed that the boxer's wife suffered a miscarriage shortly before his fight against Alexander Ustinov was cancelled.

The Briton pulled out of the fight after his uncle Hughie contracted a blood clot, leaving him on life support.

Peter Fury, who is also the boxer's uncle, told World Boxing News: "The suggestion that we would fake my dear brother's position to avoid a fight with Ustinov speaks for itself and I think it is disgusting.

"What people also don't know is that Tyson had further bad news of his wife having a miscarriage. As Tyson's trainer, I was not going into a fight with my brother in a hospital fighting for his life, with his wife and children in despair."

Fury was due to face Ustinov after Dereck Chisora was forced to pull out of a fight with a fractured hand.
