Sports stars to compete on 'Pointless'

A number of sports stars will appear on a special episode of Pointless later this month.

A number of sports stars are due to appear on a special episode of quiz show Pointless.

Eight contestants will be paired together to try to find the most obscure answers to a series of questions in a bid to win money for their chosen charities.

Olympic rower Peter Reed will team up with pentathlete Samantha Murray, while former England cricketer Phil Tuffnell will take on the quiz with rugby player Marin Offiah.

Footballers Martin Peters and Mark Bright will form a duo while snooker ace John Parrott and BBC Sport commentator Hazel Irvine make up the remaining contestants.

The episode will air on BBC One on February 16.
