'Home and Away' star given rugby ban

Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has been banned from playing rugby by the bosses of the Australian soap.

The 30-year-old, who plays Darryl 'Brax' Braxton, was handed the ban after complaints from the make-up team about too many grazes on Peacocke's face.

"I played two games last year, just lower grade, but I got banned because my face got smashed up - I lost all the skin on one side. There was a whole week's worth of shooting where they could only shoot one side of my face," said Steve.

Steve accepted the bosses' demands and has no plans to enter a professional sporting career.
