Smith: ''Strictly' took over my life'

Olympic gymnast Louis Smith has revealed that appearing in and winning BBC One reality show Strictly Come Dancing 'took over his life'.

The 23-year-old, who clinched a bronze and silver medal at the London Games last summer, launched into the spotlight and committed himself to a number of media projects, including appearing on comedy panel shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats.

"When I was doing Strictly it totally took over my life," the Daily Mail quotes Smith as saying. "But now I want to build a future for mum and my future children by doing some different projects and just concentrating on my gymnastics."

Smith recently claimed that he is also planning to do some charity work.
