British gymnast Louis Smith suggests that the thought of rehearsing for Strictly Come Dancing mirrors what he would feel if he had to go to prison.

Olympic gymnast Louis Smith has claimed that competing in reality show Strictly Come Dancing is like being in prison.

The 23-year-old, who won a bronze and silver medal at the London 2012 Games in the summer, has suggested that he is finding rehearsals difficult.

Smith tweeted: "The last time I didn't want to be somewhere so bad as this I was dreaming I was in prison."

Smith is one of the favourites to win the BBC One programme.
