Louis Smith opens up about relationship with ex-TOWIE's Lucy Mecklenburgh

Olympic gymnast Louis Smith has revealed that his relationship with former The Only Way Is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh is going "very well".

The British sportsman has been dating the former reality star for around four months, shortly after the pair met on the BBC's gymnastics Tumble show.

"It is a very nice feeling," Smith told ITV's Lorraine. "I haven't had this feeling in a long time so it's nice to kind of get on with someone really well."

The 25-year-old also revealed that his mother approves of their union and that "things are going very well actually, very happy. We complement each other very well."

Smith won two golds and two bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last year.
