Sepp Blatter admitted to hospital?

Widespread reports this afternoon have claimed that suspended FIFA president Sepp Blatter has been admitted to hospital.

The 79-year-old, who has been banned from all football-related activities for 90 days amid corruption allegations, was recently placed under "medical supervision" at home for stress.

However, according to numerous outlets, Blatter's condition worsened over the weekend and after some persuasion he was taken to hospital, believed to be in Zurich.

It is expected that Blatter will remain hospitalised for at least the next week while he undergoes a series of tests.
