Justin Rose to donate possible Tour winnings to charity

Rose to donate winnings to charity

US Open champion Justin Rose has revealed that if he is successful by the end of the Tour Championship on Sunday, then he will donate a vast majority of his winnings to charity.

The English pro could pocket £7.16m, which is made up of the money given for winning the event, as well as a bonus for clinching the FedEx Cup.

"It is a staggering sum of money and we could do an awful lot of good things with it," the Daily Mail quotes Rose as saying. "We could change the lives of a lot of people."

Rose has his own 'Blessings in a Backpack' foundation that provides meals for 1600 underprivileged children in Orlando.
