Ronaldo splits up with wife

Brazilian legend Ronaldo has announced his divorce from his wife Bia Anthony.

The marriage ends after seven years during which the couple had two daughters, four-year-old Maria Sophia and Maria Alice, two.

"We announce our formal ­separation," said a statement from the couple. "Our love, friendship and mutual admiration will remain unchanged."

This is the third marriage that has ended in a divorce for Ronaldo.
