Riot police called in to protect Blatter

Riot police have been called in to protect Sepp Blatter during an appearance by the FIFA president in Zurich.

The 78-year-old was giving a lecture at the ETH University when between 60 and 100 students stormed the building in protest.

A smoke bomb was let off during the melee, but police stopped the mob from accessing the room that Blatter was in.

The controversial FIFA chief recently confirmed that he would be standing for a fifth term as president next year.
