Rio Ferdinand 'sells mansion he shared with late wife'

Rio Ferdinand 'sells family mansion'

Rio Ferdinand has reportedly sold the family mansion he shared with his late wife Rebecca Ellison.

According to The Mirror, the former England international slashed £1.5m off the Cheshire property's asking price to facilitate the sale.

The seven-bedroom home was placed on the market at £4.5m four years ago, but the report suggests that Ferdinand has accepted a bid of just under £3m.

Three years on from his wife's death from cancer, Ferdinand now lives with his current partner Kate Wright.

Recent reports suggest that his three children are eager for him to marry the reality TV star, though the couple have denied that they are engaged.
