Luton residents rage at the council for allowing their Olympic-sized pool to be used for Tom Daley's reality show Splash! on weekends.

Residents of Luton have reportedly expressed their anger at the local council for leasing a swimming pool to ITV for reality show Splash!, which is fronted by Olympic diver Tom Daley.

The Inspire Luton centre will be out of use for members for five weekends as Daley teaches a number of celebrities various diving techniques for the televised contest.

"Oh great, once again diving lessons are being moved around," Sarah Teale said on Facebook, according to the The Express. "The pool is being hired to everyone else. The residents of Luton, swimming lessons and gym members get moved around."

Luton council said: "We believe this show will help us attract new users who will see that there are world-class facilities on their doorstep. We have worked closely with the production company to ensure disruptions are kept to an absolute minimum."

The Olympic-sized 50m pool will be reopened for weekends from mid-February.
