Report: BT Sport to sponsor Welsh, Irish rugby teams

BT Sport has reportedly opened negotiations with the Welsh regions and the Irish provinces over a sponsorship deal.

The broadcaster already sponsors Scottish clubs Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors.

A source told Telegraph Sport: "BT is keen to have positive relationships with Welsh, Scottish and Irish regions so it's no surprise that we are reaching out to them."

From next season, Pro12 league matches will be shown on Sky Sports.
