A FIFA referee is reportedly jailed for six months for offering to fix a match in Singapore in exchange for sex.

A FIFA-accredited referee has reportedly been jailed for six months for attempting to fix football matches in exchange for sex.

Lebanese official Ali Sabbagh was sentenced after pleading guilty to trying to fix the outcome of an Asian Football Confederation match with the help of two linesman.

All three were charged with "corruptly receiving gratification in the form of free sexual service" in return, which resulted in a six-month prison sentence for Sabbagh, according to the Daily Star.

The match in question took place in Singapore on April 3.
