Police arrest 175 football fans, 112 officers injured in riot during match in Germany

Police have reportedly arrested 175 football fans after 112 officers were left injured following a riot that broke out during a fourth division match in Germany.

A game between FC Union reserves and local rivals Dynamo Berlin was delayed by 15 minutes while around 300 home supporters tried to access the away end of the Alte Foersterei ground.

According to BBC Sport, fans attacked police and stewards at the venue and had to be forced back with batons and pepper spray.

The game went ahead and ended in a 1-0 win for Dynamo.
