Leaked documents to damage prosecutors' case in Oscar Pistorius murder trial?

Leaked documents could reportedly damage the prosecutors' case against Oscar Pistorius, who will go on trial on March 3 for allegedly murdering his girlfriend.

Documents relating to Oscar Pistorius's murder trial have reportedly been leaked to South African television news channel eNCA, which could damage the prosecutors' charge of premeditated murder.

The Paralympian will stand trial on March 3 for allegedly murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, who was shot dead through a bathroom door at Pistorius's Pretoria home on Valentine's Day last year.

The double amputee athlete has denied the charge of murder, maintaining that he mistook the South African model for an intruder when he fired the bullets.

According to the Daily Mail, news channel eNCA have revealed documents claiming that the state's ballistics expert has said it is 'most likely' that Pistorius was not wearing his prosthetic legs when the shots were fired.

This would remove the prosecutors' argument during the bail hearing that the athlete took time to put on his prosthetic legs before shooting through the bathroom door.

The National Prosecuting Authority have denied leaking the documents.
