Oscar Pistorius to return to court on murder charge on Monday

Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius will return to court in Pretoria, South Africa to face a charge of murder following the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

The 26-year-old will learn whether he faces a first degree murder charge on Monday, which is the day that the deceased model would have turned 30.

The double amputee admitted to shooting Steenkamp dead on Valentine's Day, but claimed that he carried out the act thinking that his girlfriend was an intruder.

Prosecutors have argued that the murder was premeditated.
