Kevin Pietersen close to securing lucrative Adidas renewal?

Kevin Pietersen is reportedly close to signing a lucrative new commercial deal with Adidas, despite being dropped from the England squad.

Cricketer Kevin Pietersen is reportedly edging closer to agreeing a new lucrative commercial deal with global sports brand Adidas.

The 33-year-old has been in a partnership with Adidas, who have provided the sportsman with kits and their range of bats, since 2008.

According to the Daily Mail, Pietersen will be named as a global ambassador in a deal that is expected to be worth more than his current terms.

The batsman is eligible to compete for the duration of the Indian Premier League with the Delhi Daredevils after he was recently dropped from the England squad.
