Piers Morgan hits out at abuse given to Tom Daley for revealing gay relationship

Television host and journalist Piers Morgan has slammed "all the homophobes" criticising Olympic diver Tom Daley for revealing that he is in a gay relationship.

The 19-year-old took the "hard decision" to speak about his sexuality via a video on YouTube, but has claimed that he still 'fancies' girls.

While the Olympic bronze-medallist received a hoard of supportive messages on Twitter, some comments have been rather unsavoury.

Morgan wrote on Twitter: "To all the homophobes out there spewing bigoted bile about Tom Daley, I laugh in your wretched little faces. You're losing, he's winning."

Daley revealed that he met his boyfriend earlier this year.
