Victoria Pendleton to ask 'Strictly Come Dancing' partner to help with wedding

Olympic gold medallist Victoria Pendleton has claimed that she will ask her Strictly Come Dancing professional dance partner Brendan Cole to help her with the first dance at her wedding.

The 32-year-old, who retired from professional cycling following the London 2012 Games, is due to marry her partner Scott Gardner in a ceremony next year.

"I won't make a fool of myself during my first dance," said Pendleton. "I've tried to teach Scott some steps in our kitchen. It would be lovely to do a waltz, so I will be enlisting Brendan's help."

Pendleton remains a contestant in the BBC One show.
