Michael Owen offered place in 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here'

Owen offered 'I'm A Celeb' spot

Retired footballer Michael Owen has revealed that he has been chosen by ITV to feature in the next installment of reality show I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

The 33-year-old has claimed that he once rejected an offer from the BBC to appear on Strictly Come Dancing, but has admitted that he would consider going into the Australian jungle if the money was right.

"I've just been asked to do this year's I'm A Celebrity," Owen told the Daily Star. "I got offered to do Strictly before but turned it down.

"If I was ever going to do one, it would be the jungle but I would need to be offered a few quid to do it, that's for sure."

Owen currently works as a football pundit for BT Sport.
