Boxer Steve O'Meara 'arrested for part in alleged drug smuggling'

British boxer Steve O'Meara has reportedly been arrested in connection with a drug smuggling case.

The 29-year-old is said to have been questioned by officers from Scotland Yard after they allegedly found 25 kilos of cocaine, thought to have been brought to the United Kingdom from Spain.

O'Meara has been charged with conspiracy to import and supply class A drugs, according to the Daily Star.

The sportsman is believed to have been living in Marbella before his arrest.
