Olazabal hits spectator in practice

Ryder Cup-winning captain Jose Maria Olazabal struck a spectator in the head during a practice session at Augusta National.

The Spaniard was preparing ahead of this week's Masters tournament when his ball from the eighth hole smashed into a fan, who dropped to the floor clutching his head.

Following the accident, Olazabal gave the fan, who had his head wrapped up in a bandage, a signed glove as an apology, according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Olazabal was the last European player to be awarded the famous green jacket following his victory in 1999.
