A Norwegian club have discovered after a winter break that a road has been built on their pitch.
Ny Krohnborg IL have claimed that they were unaware that the local council were going to go ahead with plans to pave a road over part of the pitch where the goal used to stand.
"We were quite shocked when we discovered that the path was cut," the club's chairman Radney Thomsen told Norwegian news service BA.
"The start of the season is just around the corner, but no-one had informed us. We feel simply run over.
"I realise that politicians have adopted a plan for the area. However, it should be possible to safeguard the sport needs in a better way."
The council are thought to have built the road in order to provide access to a new hospital.
