Nike unveil huge Rory McIlroy poster on San Diego building

Rory McIlroy's new sponsors Nike have unveiled a huge poster of the world number one golfer on the side of a building in San Diego.

The Northern Irishman, who recently signed a reported mega-money deal with the global sports brand, has had a stuttered start to his campaign with the new clubs.

The 23-year-old missed the cut at the Abu Dhabi tournament last month and was even spotted using his old Scotty Cameron putter.

Since then, Nike have released a huge image of the golfer wearing a Nike cap and swinging a VR_S Covert driver on the side of the multi-storey building.

Meanwhile, McIlroy is preparing to compete in this week's National Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.
