Neville Neville appears in court over allegations of sexual assault

Neville appears in court over sex charge

The father of Gary and Phil Neville has appeared in Bury Magistrates' Court today for a hearing regarding a charge of alleged sexual assault.

Neville Neville only spoke to confirm his name, address and date of birth in the two-minute hearing before District Judge James Prowse transferred the case to Bolton Crown Court.

Neville's solicitor Simon McKay told Sky News after the hearing: "He denies the allegation fully. Beyond this, because the matter is proceeding to trial, there can be no further comment."

Neville has been accused of sexually assaulting a 46-year-old woman on March 23.
