NBC 'to show 40 live festive football fixtures'

NBC will reportedly show 40 live Premier League games from December 21 to January 1.

American television network NBC will reportedly air 40 live Premier League football matches over the course of the festive period.

The network's broadcasting of top-flight football has been welcomed in the US, resulting in them extending their coverage.

Forty live games will be shown across their outlets from December 21 to January 1, according to the Daily Mail.

Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker, who also works for the US network, will host an hour-long live preview of Arsenal's clash against Chelsea next Monday.
