Rafael Nadal wins poker tournament

Rafael Nadal has taken time out from his rehabilitation on a knee injury to play in an online poker tournament today and beat 47 other players to claim victory.

The seven-time French Open winner is an ambassador for Poker Stars and as part of his sponsorship commitments played in a £10 buy-in event online this morning.

Nadal took his competitive spirit from the court to the poker table and won the small jackpot of £152.40 against a novice field.

The 26-year-old is due to play in his first competitive tournament since Wimbledon at the Brasil Open in Sao Paulo next month.
