BBC One soap EastEnders films an extra scene mentioning Andy Murray's Wimbledon victory for tonight's episode.

Andy Murray's historic Wimbledon victory has been given a mention during a specially filmed scene for BBC One soap EastEnders.

The Scotsman became the first man since Fred Perry 77 years ago to lift the trophy following a straight-sets win over Novak Djokovic.

During tonight's EastEnders episode, Kim Fox will be seen discussing the possibility of changing the name of her bed and breakfast from Kim's Palace to Wimbledon Palace.

"We always like to mark big events and Andy Murray's victory is certainly one of those," Radio Times quotes a show spokesperson as saying.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister David Cameron has backed Murray to be given a knighthood.
