Motorcyclist Jamie Hamilton in 'critical but stable' condition in hospital

Motorcyclist Jamie Hamilton is reportedly in a critical but stable condition in hospital after he crashed during the Isle of Man TT races on Friday.

The 24-year-old Northern Irishman was airlifted to Nobles Hospital in Douglas after he came off his bike at one of the fastest parts of the course, where riders can go up to 180mph.

Hamilton was later transferred to Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool, where his condition on Monday was critical but stable, according to BBC Sport.

Shortly after the crash, it was reported that Hamilton's injuries were 'serious, but not life threatening'.
