Missing boxing promoter Michael Graydon found dead in Monaco

A body found in a ravine in Monaco is identified as that of missing Bristol boxing promoter Michael Graydon, the Foreign Office confirms.

A body found in a ravine in Monaco has been identified as a boxing promoter from Bristol missing for almost two weeks, it has been confirmed.

Michael Graydon was found dead by members of the public on Thursday evening, almost two weeks after he went missing on February 21.

The 29-year-old had travelled to the French principality to watch British boxer and super-flyweight champ Lee Haskins.

It later emerged that Graydon had not gone to watch the fight and instead went to a club where he became separated from friends at around 1.40am.

A spokesperson from the Foreign Office said: "We can confirm on the death of a British national - Michael Graydon, who had previously been reported missing, in Monaco."

Graydon did not turn up for his return flight home on Sunday 22 February at 1pm.
