Mike Tyson: 'I was insane but I've cleaned up my act'

Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has insists that his life is back on track and condemns the years when he acted 'insane'.

Former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson has claimed that he is a far cry from the "insane" boxer he used to be.

The 46-year-old, who has a tribal tattoo across the left side of his face, is well known for his issues out of the ring as well as his successes in the sport but the American has insisted that he is drug-free and has his life back on track.

"I don't recognise the man I was," Tyson told The Sun. "I was insane. I had this rage but that's what made me a great fighter.

"I wanted people who got in the ring with me to think they were dealing with a savage. I wanted them to show me respect. I was a pig then. A pig."

Meanwhile, recent reports have claimed that the retired boxer is due to make a cameo appearance in Scary Movie 5.
