Miami Dolphins star Reggie Bush announces he is to become a dad

Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush has announced that he and his girlfriend Lilit Avagyan are expecting their first child.

The 27-year-old, who had a high-profile romance with American reality star Kim Kardashian, revealed the news on Florida's Paul and Young Ron Morning Show earlier this week.

"I have a little one on the way," said Bush. "We're pretty excited. It's an opportunity to bring in new life and raise a child. I look forward to it, and to building a family."

Bush, who has been with his other half for a year, claimed that he hopes for a boy.
