Former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm took part in the final stretch of the Hillsborough to Anfield Charity Run.

The singer, who became part of the charity single 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother' in aid of the families affected by the Hillsborough tragedy, revealed that she ran the last few miles.

Chisholm wrote on Twitter: "So excited to be joining the @HillsboroughAnf crew tomorrow. They've done an amazing job...

"Me and @PaulONeill29 are cheating and doing the last few miles to glorious Anfield #YoullNeverWalkAlone xxx."

The race raised money for the Alder Hey Children's hospital and The Children's Hospital Charity in Sheffield in memory of the 96 Liverpool fans who died in 1989.
