Rory McIlroy 'buys Florida mansion near the home of Tiger Woods'

World number one golfer Rory McIlroy has reportedly bought a mansion in Florida for him and his tennis pro girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki.

The 10,000 square foot home is believed to have been taken off the market by the Northern Irishman, who is thought to have earned £8m this year.

It is understood that the PGA Championship winner has spent up to £6.2m on the house, which is close to the home of rival Tiger Woods, according to the Daily Mail.

The mansion is situated in the Old Gate area of Palm Beach Gardens.
