Mayweather Jr plays in one-off basketball game

Pound-for-pound boxing king Floyd Mayweather Jr used his basketball skills at the weekend to play in a one-off game during a reunion for rap group N.W.A.

The game was held as part of the BET Experience festival ahead of the BET Awards, which celebrates African Americans and other minorities in music, film, sport and entertainment.

During the game, Mayweather played alongside hip-hop and rap artists, including Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Soulja Boy, Tyrese, Omarion and The Game.

Earlier this month, the American boxer was named by Forbes as the highest-paid athlete in the world after pocketing £194m in the last 12 months.
