Materazzi poses with 'headbutt' statue

Former Italy international Marco Materazzi has been to visit the statue depicting the famous headbutt he received from France legend Zinedine Zidane during the 2006 World Cup final.

The five-metre sculpture, which sparked controversy with French football officials, was placed outside the Pompidou Centre in Paris in September.

Materazzi posed in front of the statue and posted the photo on Twitter with the caption, "Guess where I am?".

The 39-year-old admitted after the incident, which resulted in the sending off of Zidane, that he had provoked the former Real Madrid star by making comments about his sister.
