A man who died following the London Marathon receives over £26,000 donations to the charity he was representing for the 26-mile race.

The fundraising page of Robert Berry, who died following Sunday's London Marathon, has accumulated over £26,000 donations for charity.

Organisers confirmed on Monday that the 42-year-old had collapsed after the finish line of the 26-mile race in the capital.

The runner, who is said to have written about having breathing problems in a blog leading up to the race, received medical attention but was pronounced dead shortly after.

According to the Daily Star, Berry's Just Giving page online has reached £26,981 for the Royal Osteoporosis Society following an original target of £1,700.
