Man shot dead after violent clashes in Argentina

A man has been shot dead following clashes between rival fans at a football match in Argentina.

The 31-year-old, who has been identified as Julio Vizaci, was hit by a bullet in the abdomen as violence broke out among fans during a second division match between Gimnasia and Nueva Chicago in La Pata.

Mr Vizaci was taken to a local San Martin hospital following the clashes but later died from his injuries.

An 11-year-old is also in a reported stable condition after being transferred to Sor Maria Ludovica following the clashes.
