Kellie Maloney to undergo gender reassignment surgery next year

Boxing promoter Kellie Maloney has revealed that she will undergo gender reassignment surgery next year.

The 61-year-old, who was born as Frank, has been living as a woman for the last year and could go under the knife as early as January.

Maloney raised support for the transgender community by entering the Celebrity Big Brother house last month, alongside boxer Audley Harrison.

"I'm over the moon," Maloney told The Mirror. "I can't stop smiling."

Maloney worked as Lennox Lewis's manager from 1989 to 2001.
