Ryan Lochte shirtless as the 'Sex Idiot' in '30 Rock' appearance

American Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte will appear in US comedy 30 Rock as the 'Sex Idiot' in the NBC show's premiere of the seventh series.

Promotional adverts have shown the 11-time medallist shirtless and the 28-year-old is believed to be giving Alec Baldwin's character dating advice during the episode.

Lochte took on a number of showbiz tasks after triumphing at London 2012, one of which included being a corresponded for E! during fashion week in New York.

The Olympian will also appear as himself in 90210 at the end of the month.
