Gary Lineker to appear in West End stage show 'Spamalot' as God?

Gary Lineker reportedly agrees to play God in Spamalot.

Former England footballer Gary Lineker has reportedly agreed to appear as God in West End stage show Spamalot.

The Match of the Day host is believed to have been asked by one of the creators Eric Idle to take part in the production for charity.

Idle, who used to live next door to the retired footballer, is said to have tweeted Lineker the question, to which the 52-year-old replied claiming that he'd "love to", according to the Daily Star.

Lineker is expected to record his scenes separately as opposed to being on stage.
