Gary Lineker rejected Walkers' Paul Gascoigne underwear stunt

Lineker: 'I rejected Walkers stunts'

Former England striker Gary Lineker has revealed that he turned down a number of stunts put forward by Walkers crisps.

The ex-Tottenham Hotspur player, who has been the face of the snack for 19 years, has admitted that they tried to get himself and former teammate Paul Gascoigne to run around in their underwear for an advert.

"They asked me and Gazza to celebrate in the dressing room like we used to after a big game," Lineker told Xfm. "They wanted us to run around in our underpants and I thought, 'Nah. I'll give that one a miss. People don't need to see that'."

Gascoigne is currently in the US seeking treatment for alcoholism.
