Gary Lineker: 'I love a good Twitter debate'

Gary Lineker admits that he enjoys 'debating' on Twitter, but says that it's frustrating to deal with "berks" on the social networking website.

Gary Lineker has admitted that he enjoys interacting with people on Twitter, but believes that some "berks" get too "carried away" on the social media website.

The former England footballer, who currently hosts the BBC's Match of the Day, has revealed that he rarely gets angry and is happy to chat to people when they approach him for photos.

In an interview with The Mirror, Lineker said: "I don't get angry if people ask me for selfies, that is part of life.

"I get a bit agitated with bad drivers occasionally and I can have a little rant at them, but that is probably as bad as it gets. People pigeonhole you to a degree and, as far as pigeonholes go, 'Mr Nice Guy' is alright. It could be a lot worse.

"I enjoy a good debate on Twitter. Although you occasionally get a few berks and people getting a bit carried away on there."

Lineker has also revealed that he has no intentions of retiring as yet.
