Gary Lineker: 'I fear Paul Gascoigne won't find peace'

Lineker 'fears' for Gascoigne

Retired footballer Gary Lineker believes that former England teammate Paul Gascoigne will be unable to find "peace".

Fears over the 45-year-old's state have emerged in the last few days after his agent Terry Baker insisted that the ex-midfielder needs 'immediate help' after reverting back to his alcoholic ways.

Lineker wrote on Twitter: "I can only hope he finds peace somehow, but fear those hopes may be forlorn."

Gascoigne, who currently lives in Bournemouth, has previously battled with alcohol and drug abuse.
