Jones: 'England too multicultural'

Former footballer Vinnie Jones has revealed that he would not choose to come back to England from his Los Angeles base because the country is too multicultural.

The 48-year-old, who played for a number of football clubs, including Chelsea and Leeds United in his career, has lived in the US for eight years.

"There's nothing to come back to here," Jones told the Radio Times. "To me, England is past its sell-by date. It's not the country I grew up in. It's a European country now.

"If someone blindfolded you and put you on a plane in LA, and you landed at Heathrow and they took it off, you wouldn't have a clue where you were."

Jones flies a Union flag outside his home on Mulholland Drive.
